HAL Group Inc. was engaged by Entuitive on behalf of the Greater Toronto Airport Authority (GTAA) to conduct a comprehensive condition survey of all airside and groundside bridges (76 structures) at Toronto Pearson International Airport in 2023. This included a detailed condition survey of eight specific structures, such as the Terminal 1 Departure Bridge (A16) with a total deck area of 14,500 m², and the Infield Tunnel with a total deck area of 12,500 m².
Additionally, in 2021, HAL Group Inc. was retained by WSP on behalf of the GTAA to complete a similar condition survey of the same 76 airside and groundside bridges. Both projects were executed with a level of effort comparable to or exceeding that of the Region of Peel’s Program.
The work was carried out safely, incorporating necessary temporary traffic control measures and minimizing disruptions to service and pedestrian traffic in the inspection areas. The successful collaboration with WSP and Entuitive in 2021 and 2023 highlights the exceptional quality of work performed, consistently exceeding client expectations.
